1. Overview: 


The material fatigue test system is mainly used to test the dynamic characteristics of metal, non-metal and composite materials at room temperature (or high and low temperature, corrosive environment), tensile, compression and shear fatigue endurance tests, crack growth tests, and fracture toughness

This system is a closed-loop servo control system composed of an electrical controller, servo valve, load sensor, displacement sensor, extensometer, and computer. It can automatically and accurately control the test process and automatically measure test parameters such as force, displacement, deformation, torque, and angle. 

The system can realize sine wave, triangle wave, square wave, sawtooth wave wave, anti sawtooth wave wave, pulse wave and other waveforms, and can carry out tensile, compression, bending, low cycle and high cycle fatigue and other mechanical tests. Environmental testing devices can also be configured to complete environmental simulation tests at different temperatures.

The system operation is flexible and convenient, and the lifting, locking, and clamping of the moving crossbeam are all completed by button operation. Advanced hydraulic servo drive technology is used for loading, high-precision dynamic load sensors, and high-resolution magnetostrictive displacement sensors are used to measure the force and displacement of the specimen. The fully digital measurement and control system achieves PID control of force, deformation, and displacement, with smooth conversion between each control., The experimental software works in the Windows XP/Win7 Chinese environment, with powerful data processing functions, automatic storage, display, and printing of experimental conditions and results. The testing process is fully controlled by computers, and the testing machine is an ideal cost-effective testing system for scientific research institutes, metallurgical construction, national defense and military industry, universities, mechanical manufacturing, transportation and other industries.

2. Servo actuator.

● Maximum test force: ± 100KN 

● Maximum stroke: ± 75mm (total stroke 150mm); 

● Special clearance bearing sealing dynamic servo actuator suitable for dynamic and static tests; 

● Double output rod, piston rod surface treated with special technology and high gloss treatment, suitable for long-term dynamic testing; 

● The piston is sealed with aluminum bronze clearance bearings between the cylinder body, piston rod and end cover, which reduces the friction resistance of the actuator, increases its stiffness, and has strong resistance to direction measurement, greatly improving the testing accuracy and the true restoration of data;

● The actuator has a built-in displacement sensor, an external electro-hydraulic servo valve, and a force sensor, with two closed-loop control circuits for force and displacement; 

● The force sensor is placed at the head of the piston rod and equipped with a pre-stressed ring, which can fully ensure the safe and reliable connection during the dynamic test process; 

● Design a hydraulic buffer zone at the limit position of the actuator amplitude to avoid damage caused by runaway operation; 

● Sensors: 

● Force sensor: a product from Interface Company in the United States, used for tensile and compressive bidirectional fatigue testing. The maximum test force is ± 12.5kN, with an overload capacity of 150%. It is compatible with the control system and has a reading error of ± 1%; Before leaving the factory, the sensor calibration is completed;

● Displacement sensor: a product of NOVO company in Germany, a magnetostrictive non-contact displacement sensor, with an effective range (maximum displacement) of ± 75mm, in conjunction with the control system, with an indication error of ± 0.5% FS; Before leaving the factory, the sensor calibration is completed. 

● Servo valve: American MOOG company servo valve, single valve flow rate 63L/min, pressure 21Mpa; Directly integrate the servo valve mounting seat with the actuator;

3. Constant pressure servo power source. 

The constant pressure servo pump station is generally installed centrally in the planned pump room. The piping system leads hydraulic oil near the main engine and connects it to the servo actuator through a hose circuit, oil distributor, and hose circuit. 

The pumping station is a standardized pumping station with modular design, which can theoretically be cascaded into large pumping stations with any flow rate, thus having good scalability and flexible use. 


● The total flow rate is 40L/min, and the pressure is 21Mpa. (Can be adjusted according to experimental requirements)

● Total power 22kW, 380V, three-phase, 50Hz, AC. 

● The pump station is designed and manufactured according to standard modularization, with mature technology and stable performance; Configure a relay voltage regulator module and connect it to the actuator.

● The pump station is composed of oil pump, motor, high and low pressure switching valve group, accumulator, oil filter, oil tank, pipeline system, etc;

● The oil pump adopts a German Rexroth constant pressure variable displacement pump, which adopts an involute internal meshing gear transmission with low noise and excellent durability and long service life; 

● The oil pump motor set is equipped with a damping device (using a damping pad) to reduce vibration and noise; 

● Use high and low pressure switching valve groups for the start and stop of the hydraulic system. 

● Fully enclosed standard servo oil tank, with a capacity of no less than 260L; It has functions such as temperature measurement, air filtration, and oil level display; 

● It has functions such as overheating protection, overcurrent protection, high and low pressure protection, overtemperature protection, flow protection, liquid level protection, etc.

8. Control system and computer software system. 

8.1The main configuration components of the controller are:

● Integrate various dynamic testing functions and integration. 

● For dynamic testing, any functional test waveform combination can be defined to form a test spectrum and process, and the testing machine can be controlled to complete various complex functional dynamic fatigue tests.

● For static testing, the main international and domestic GB standard software modules in the field of software integrated material testing are powerful and suitable for both scientific research and conventional process research. 

● Various functions such as data collection, testing steps, data storage, and testing protection can be programmed in the form of events to assist users in completing various complex functional testing operations.
